Dr. Doodley, a Bengaluru-based pet healthcare startup, has raised $3.3 million (₹30 crore) in a Pre-Series A funding round led by V3 Ventures.
The round includes ₹20 crore in equity and ₹10 crore in debt, and saw participation from Campus Fund, Thackersey Family Office, and angel investors Yatin Shah, Karan Bhagat, and Gautam Dalmia.
The funding will be used to expand Dr. Doodley’s veterinary care offerings, strengthen its medical team, and scale operations across major Indian cities.
Scaling Vet-at-Home in 30 Minutes
Dr. Doodley plans to deploy the fresh capital to rapidly scale its 30-minute vet-at-home service, which sends experienced veterinarians, assistants, and medicines directly to pet owners’ homes.
“Pet parents should not have to choose between convenience and quality,” said Utsav Bisaria, Co-Founder of Dr. Doodley.
He noted that the company treated over 30,000 pets in the past year, significantly reducing the need for clinic visits for routine care and early diagnosis.
Over the next 12 months, the startup aims to:
- Treat 1 lakh+ pets
- Expand its veterinary team to 100 doctors
- Enter additional Tier I cities
Flat-Priced ₹10,000 Pet Surgeries
One of Dr. Doodley’s most notable initiatives is the introduction of flat-priced pet surgeries at ₹10,000, addressing the high and unpredictable cost of veterinary procedures in India.
According to Yash Jayprakash Ladda, Co-Founder, the company has already conducted 1,000+ surgeries across its hospitals using standardised, tightly monitored surgical protocols.
Building on this experience, Dr. Doodley is launching a transparent pricing model covering:
- Soft-tissue surgeries
- Orthopaedic procedures
The objective is to make critical pet healthcare accessible, predictable, and outcome-focused, without compromising on medical quality.
Investor Perspective: Healthcare-First Pet Services
Arjun Vaidya, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at V3 Ventures, said India’s petcare market is evolving rapidly toward organised, outcome-driven healthcare.
He highlighted that Dr. Doodley’s focus on core veterinary healthcare, rather than grooming or retail-led models, enables:
- Higher operational efficiency
- Better revenue throughput per clinic
- Stronger clinical outcomes
This healthcare-first approach was a key driver behind V3 Ventures leading the round.
